Word clouds
A GUIDE
The users work with texts and create an overview by using the program Wordle.
The products can be used as illustrations e.g. as front pages or for PowerPoint presentations.
Målsætning
- The aim is to use Wordle to focus on the most important issues during a presentation.
- And to be able to use a Wordle as an illustration.
PRECONDITIONS
It is - as with all other programs - a good idea to experiment with Wordle.net before starting the activity. JavaScript must be installed for Wordle to work.
After creating your Wordle you can print it or save it by making a screenshot.
TIP
TIP: To make a screendump use Alt + PrtScr (PC) or CMD + Shift + 4 and choose the area you want to print (Mac).

- Work in small groups.
- Use a computer at a basic level.
Tip til brug i andre sammenhænge
Use Wordle in all subjects and projects. E.g. in History for a project
about war (words: conflict, weapons, soldiers, bombs, civilians, resistance movement, peace treaty etc.).
Tips til evaluering
EVALUATION TIPS
- Are the users able to decode each other's word clouds?
- Are the users satisfied with the contents and the look of their Wordles? Or should they try to improve them by making new word clouds?
- In which other contexts can Wordles be useful?
